Nonsensical comments, abuse, baiting, ranting and leftist stupidity will not be tolerated.
Since 'Tricky Dickie' left the scene the Republicans have put up only solid, honest characters. Shame the Democrats haven't taken the same road.
Only thing is - how does McCain go from that to being the one who 1) spearheaded a Congressional act that LIMITS political speech, thereby violating the First Amendment and 2) actively participate and lead backroom deals with other Democrats to give wholesale amnesty to illegal immigrants, and arrogantly calls them nasty names when his constituency and the rest of American protest/fight back?
I dont trust McCain to do the honorable thing. Those two actions nullified whatever honor he achieved. His willful insubordination to the Constitution and purposeful undermining of it makes all of his Vietnam heroism something that belongs to someone else. I will not vote for him. I'll vote for someone. Just not him. He doesnt represent me as a Constitutional conservative.
Yeh, but I think the point of the post is about the character of the man, not policy positions. Policies can change (and he has already changed his immigration stance), but the time someone is old enough to become president the character is usually set (the one exception being Obama, who seems to be still of college age, in that respect).
I'm still trying to figure out why the Republican party sold him down the river in the 1999/2000 election cycle. I think he would have done a far better job than the current incumbent.

I think the commenter above that remarked about McCain's character said it well. It is the character of the man that we all admire and is so lacking it would seem today in many leaders.
With that said, I have certainly been critical of his stance on Illegal Immigration policies and the political free speech.
I am going to hat tip you on on this.
