This case was all about politics, racism, and gender bias. It was great to see these boys vindicated.

At the same time, while I don't condone one speck of Nifong's behavior here, I can understand the pressure put on this guy to make SURE those 3 young men got convicted.
I worked at one time for a company that came under the "scrutiny" of Jesse Jackson's organization for "lack of diversity." What I saw in financial, economic and boycotting threats from Jackson and his people is still fresh in my mind and still as disgusting. If Nifong felt even close to the heat that my company felt at that time, I'm not surprised one bit that Nifong folded.
