Why should I be surprised?
Bob Dole has been relentlessly mocked for holding a pen in his crippled arm, an arm crippled by Nazi machinegun fire in WWII.
If anyone cares, he got a bronze star along with that ruined arm, for trying to defend a downed radio man. He immediately became a southpaw, since the damage was too severe to repair. The right arm was only good for holding that pen.
He went on to become a statesman and a presidential candidate. Senator doesn't seem to be an eloquent enough word for such a man as Bob Dole.
A pen in a shriveled arm, yellowed dentures covering years of torture.
There's a reason why they call these people lesser men than the likes of John McCain and Bob Dole.
This is vile but what do you expect from "screw 'em" Kos. Even if McCain didn't lose his teeth due to 5 1/2 years of torture in a POW camp, what is the point of commenting on his tooth color? This just goes to show how shallow, crass, and ignorant Kos and his followers are.
On another note, Obama is going to lose the presidency. The fact that he limped across the finish line for the Democratic nomination proves it.
I have been doing a lot of research the last few days in the blogs since Hillary lost. I am a Hillary Clinton Democrat. This was my very first experience of the Daily Kos Blog - poor McCain's teeth - and I have to tell you I am disgusted. Not with the noble-man's teeth - but with Daily Kos. It will be my first and last experience of that troll's blog. Could not believe it. A lot of us had a hard time with how a lot of Obama's supporters played things - with how harsh and horrible they treated Hillary. This simply confirms the thinking I already had. McCain knows how to build coalitions and get things done as does Hillary. I am totally turned off by this Obama supporter making fun of someone's teeth for godsakes. Unbelievable. Confirmed my disgust. So much for a kinder gentler nation huh. No worries - someday mr Kos will be old and no longer beautiful and hopefully someone will make fun of him.
McCain may get my vote. There are a lot of of centrist democrats (not leftist democrats) taking a good, long look at McCain right now. He has a high integrity level, and I like what I am seeing.
One of my teachers once said to me before you speak - "Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?". Virtue you know.
Don't see a lot of it coming out of the flamers camp. I do see a lot of it in McCain.
