Gravatar The way I understand it, the Nevada Democrats didn't cancel the Fox News Channel event because they want their debate to held in front of a "limited audience." The concern was that Fox was an inappropriate host for the event because Fox could not be trusted to provide "fair and balanced" coverage of the event. Indeed, it's predictable that no matter how the Democrats performed in the debate, they would then be torn apart on Fox by conservative commentators Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Brit Hume, John Gibson, Ann Coulter, and others. Just as the Republicans would never, in their right minds, allow a debate to be hosted by Air America, the Democrats would be foolish to allow their debate to be hosted by Fox.

Gravatar And if Fox chooses to "ignore" and refuse to cover the "sniveling" Democrats--as you are apparently hoping they will--that kind of confirms the idea that Fox is not an objective source of news, doesn't it?

Gravatar Get a grip. Any notion that Air America is on the same plane as Fox is absurd.

This pathetic obsession with Fox is bordering on mental illness. If you don't like it, change the channel. You have plenty of options.

Gravatar I'm not arguing that Air America is "on the same plane as Fox." Air America is only a radio network, while Fox does both television and radio. Fox has far more affiliates and far more influence. The similarity I'm drawing is that both networks are blatantly partisan.

I completely agree with your comment that "[i]f you don't like" Fox, you should "change the channel." That's precisely what the Nevada Democrats have done. Maybe you can explain, then, why it was inappropriate for the Democrats to decide that Fox News wasn't a good choice for their debate.
