Gravatar He has a point. I can't see how blocking it is legal.

Gravatar The senate does not have to seat him,
"Each House shall be the judge of the elections, returns and qualifications of its own members." The constitution does give the criteria by which they must judge such matters. They could just say, "We think Blago and all of his creatures and friends are liars, cheats and thieves." Or, maybe they could say, "We already have too many members past the age of seventy."It is totally up to them.

Gravatar Dem-on-dem warfare. I love it!

Gravatar For the post racial world promised by Hussein O there seems to be a lot of open racism used by the democrats/blacks. As the old saying goes, the country 'going to hell in a hand basket' at breakneck speed. When they're tactic backfires there will be blood in the streets and most of it will be the blood of traitors (aka democrats).

Gravatar Whilst it can be legitimately questioned whether the Senate has the authority to refuse to seat Burris (by majority vote), there is no question that it has the authority to expel him (by two-thirds vote) the moment his ass touches the chair. OTOH, Reid lacks the self-discipline and authority over the Senate Democratic caucus to try such an action.
