In Terwilliger's statement, the spelling should be "rein in", not "reign in." One would think that in a state noted for cowboys, the correct spelling would seem more obvious.

I hope the poor guy gets help. The sudden removal of a psychotic's fixation has been known to make them snap. And January 20 is coming up fast.

There's only two things from Texas . . .
And steers know that when a cowboy ropes them up, they've been "reined in."

Darn, now I ave to worry about being indicted like Dick Cheney. Yes, I admit to it, I have some $3,000 invested with Vanguard from an old IRA which I never rolled over, I am a torturer. So having money with Vanguard is a crime, is BoA also a criminal enterprise I can be indicted for being invested in?

It is a travesty that these kinds of frivolous suits are not treated as assault. Cheney doesn't have to worry, but an ordinary citizen can have his life ruined by this kind of abuse of power (Duke University Lacrosse team, anyone?).
This sort of shakedown is a barely more sophisticated form of mugging, and being Texas, Cheney ought to be in his rights to draw down on this mangy flea ridden varmint.

David, thank you. The next person to misuse 'reign' gets a cockpunch.

~ Sounds like an ironclad case. May be a matter of hours until Cheney turns himself in or dies from laughter.
Thanks JWF!! Now I have to mop up all the coffee on my monitor. It is a good thing I hadn't taken another sip before seeing 'stupidity' amongst the labels. You are a true master of sarcasm.

how much did the indictment cost?
seriously, if I were called for jury duty, and this was the case I had to sit thru, I'd walk out during the prosecutions argument.
In that sense, I could provide the prosecuter with someone he could actually make an example of.

Back when Bush was governor, one of the major things passed by the Legislature was tort reform, to eliminate "drop and shop" lawsuits, where if a business like Walmart operated in a county, a person suing it could find the most plaintiff-friendly county in the state in which to file the lawsuit...
...which more often than not, was in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, where too many jurors thought of the big companies and their insurers as greedy/evil oppressors whose finances should be treated as ATM machines. You can't sue outside the county involved anymore (except for state-related suits, which get moved to Austin), but you can see the same type of mindset working in this indictment as with the old lawsuits, since Guerra needed at least nine of the 12 people on the grand jury to go along with his idiotic indictment.

12th poorest county in the US by per capita income-9.3k.
The average per capita income is below the poverty line...I now understand why they could find a jury.
The pay is just too good to refuse.
