Obama is like an English car on a slick road, weaving around trying to find traction.
If he's on the right for the moment, not to worry. He is programmed to drive on the left, built for it. Soon as things get better, he will return to that side of the road.

"His base is freaking out, but let's face it, they're not going anywhere."
Obama's entire campaign strategy, summed up quite nicely.

Frankly, this is the sort of stuff that killed John Kerry four years ago, you just couldn’t figure out exactly where he stood, on anything.
Everybody knows that Obama is going to adapt to the current situation in Iraq, but this stupid waffling doesn’t show "good judgement" but rather mere political calculation (i.e. the old politics).

Oh, his base of loony tunes may not be going anywhere, but the moderate independent voters just might. It'll be interesting to see how polls of independents change over the next few weeks.

Kind-of funny I think, how the so-called `progressives' fight Bush forever claiming they are protecting your privacy & your rights (fighting theFISAct)-- but now, w/ an election coming-up that they may likely win - Obama & `DamascusNancy' & theDems sell you down the river because they have plans for that eavesdropping-power. And being not-so distant-cousins to Leninists ............

re: "old politics"
I thought the whole point of Obama was that he was not Old Politics. He was all Hopey and Changey.
So if he's just 'Old Politics', what's the point of having him? There are a lot of Old Politics Dems with more experience than him.

So which damn candidate am I supposed to vote for if I don't want a continuation of Bush's "failed policies"? The faith-based, pro 2nd Amendment free trade advocate who will only leave Iraq when victory has been secured, or John McCain?
