Apparently, he figured out that a Republican on the ballot could split the non-Democratic vote, and wants to eliminate any possibility of having a candidate running to his right, though you'd think the NYS Conservative Party will put up someone to run this November just out of principle, since Bloomberg is already trying to be Fiorello H. LaGuardia to Obama's Franklin Delano Roosevelt when it comes to trying to spend as many federal tax dollars on public works as possible.

Bloomberg, Schwartzeneger, McCain and the rest of the RINO's are the reason that conservatism has been hammered in the last two election cycles.
Throw the RINO's out with the rest of the refuge. They have been a boil on the arse of America.

Bloomberg to me seems a classic liberal, a solid good guy in my book. Socialists coopted liberalism. What passes for liberalism in the US is now firmly socialism. The Democratic party is a socialist party.
The Republican party is stuck with "conservatism", a label that has no future, that sounds like stale canned food to most uneducated voters. Conservatives also seem clueless on economic matters; they don't defend capitalism. They don't know how to stand up to the socialists or how to deal with the media and popular culture.
Conservatives should STFU after this last election debacle and give people like Giuliani and Bloomberg a chance. You don't own the Republican party.
Real, classic liberals, "capitalists", young entrepreneurial people in the cities are now stuck between the socialist Democratic party and the conservative/rural Republican party.

What's this "turned Republican" crap? He was NEVER a republican, he was only a RINO. If what he was was a Republican, I don't want to be one anymore.

As a NY Republican, I want this a-hole with the Dems where he belongs. He is a hideous nannystater, his ego runs on wheels, and he callously disregards laws (term limits), something Giuliani had respect for.
