He gave her pictures of - herself? Flattering, in a way, I suppose. And in a format so small she can barely see it? Probably 80% BBC footage, at that, what odds?
Heck, for about the same money he could have given her the deeds to two or three houses in Detroit.

Class will out. Following on the heels of the Brown fiasco, I didn't think that they could top it. I underestimated them.
What common people.

Just a suggestion but the administration needs to hire someone over the age of 23 to select State gifts.
But really, it's the thought that counts or the lack there of in these recent cases.

You know I never thought that I'd truly be able to say that I have given better gifts than the President of the United States.

These people are trash. On top of the tacky gift they failed to follow protocal and both did the two-hand grip hand shake. At least I know that one is not supposed to do more than a light touch of her majesty's hand. I guess I should be happy that they didn't try the fist bump.

Hey - I didn't vote for these clowns.
Why didn't the Obamas just go all out and give the Queen a subscription to Mad Magazine (come to think of it, that's a pretty good idea)
I thought the Clintons were tacky but these rubes just gave the word an entire new meaning.

The Drudge link has an update that Obama also gave the Queen a rare songbook signed by Richard Rogers.

The songbook might be a hint of something related to thought...nah.
I expect they asked their kids what a doddering old white lady might like. The staffers, y'know.
The man and woman have no class or understanding of a world other than Chitown politics, though I expect Daley could comport himself with more dignity. Maybe even Blago.
Many Europeans are going to fall out of love with what the media and their own self-approving disgust with that bum from TX caused them to figure was the new JFK. The ones that don't are just the ones who can't or won't admit they got hustled by a penny-ante lawyer with no business being in the Senate, much less POTUS.
Who is the dumbass now, twits?

I just hope that its power can be recharged in the UK. They have a different power-system also.

They are sooo...bringing the gheto-ness to places they shouldnt.
Simply shows lack of respect for rules and lack of thought. They wanna get away with small things like this...i wonder what they get away in secrecy? Great job for voting out of race not out of knowledge of the job.
