Great story! All seven are extraordinary this month! Good luck to you! And if you can relate to my story as an "old hippie" you should find my other Blogging for Books entries for the last two months. These are all stories I tell people verbally all the time and decided to use B4B to manage to get them all down on paper, maybe try putting them in a book someday. Good luck to you! This essay is simply amazing! The way the dog's name "Faith" replays the theme all the way to the end of the story where the theme of Faith comes back to hit the reader again.
The mention of the "palace" and the "Garden of Eden" are so natural but they resonate with the taste of potential immortaility and how close death came in the winds of the tornado! This is an amazing piece of writing.

As for the kindness of people, well, just look in the mirror, and you will see a lovely kind person who repaid someone with flowers. Awesome.
