6 years about I bought Maritmo on the recommendation of a young Brazilian-American fellow working at Tower Records. He had noticed that I was buying a bunch of Brazilian records (this was when I was first bit with the Brazil bug) and he asked me if I knew Adriana Calcanhotto. I said no and he said, well, if you like Marisa Monte you'll love Adriana. He was right. Unfortunately, I lost Maritmo (and still have the empty CD case to taunt me).
So thanks for these 3 songs. I'll have to try to get the rest some time soon, one way or another.
I did a bit more poking around, and it seems like the album simply isn't distributed in the US, which is silly because it's out on Sony Music in Brazil.
