Gravatar It's always interesting to hear how people's lives have unfolded and evolved. Like you, I had my stint working at a really fun yet low-paying job in the record industry and then spent a few more years working as an arts & entertainment critic. Life moves on though, and we often find ourselves drawn back to familiar places. I've lived up-and-down the East Coast, but finally settled in the same state I was born in some 15 years after I moved away from there. I love Las Vegas, and I'm sure there are many great things about living there. Enjoyed reading this very much!

Gravatar So life with Z-Dub awake half the night must be a doddle compared to an 18 hour day?

Funny how some places are like that. It ain't Vegas but Newcastle seems to be my magnet.

Gravatar Sometimes you can't fight what feels right. We love DC but keep feeling that coming home to NC is the place. Just not sure.

Gravatar Nice post.

Gravatar People in st. louis are like that; pittsburgh too. Either you never leave, or you come back.
I realized just today that although I moved here for him and his family, I've spent more time here now on my own than with him (4 yrs. vs. 3). It kind of tripped me out for a second, but it made me proud, too, since the only people I knew before moving here were FB's family members and his friends. But duh, now I have my own and it's all good.
Honestly I don't know how anyone lives in the OC - affordability-wise I mean.

Gravatar Funny, I would also fancy the idea of settling back in my old college town.

Would be nice to hear more about Vegas itself.

Gravatar We're awfully glad you're still here.

Gravatar Sounds like you really found your place in this world. I know the feeling. Good for you and your family.

Gravatar Does working for sports publishing makes one athletic?
