Been there.
My wallet is full of scraps of post its with loose words and phrases that inspire entire ramblings.
I've even given away business cards that had the key words to a few posts on them.
My keywords tend not to be the kind of reading you want to supply to financial directors...
ALWAYS scribble them down!

Happens to me all the time too. For a while I had been writing down ideas when I got them but I've slacked on doing that lately.

hmmm... nothing similar happened to me so far. But then again maybe that's as far as I can remember. 
My usual problem is prioritizing which to write about first
Maybe you should immediately save the bullets for your post in the drafts, or maybe notepad. Or calendar it in whatever handheld gadget you often bring along.
