Back to the Dallas thing. You're right about the crime and other problems. But you do have DART.
Dart...Yeah. Unfortunately, that, too, is overrun with crime. I think the new guidelines suggest riding only in groups of 80 or more.
Give me a break! Dart does not require a large group. When I worked at Genesis I would get a ride to the Zoo station (because Rick was afraid for me to ride the #11 bus over) and ride to Forest Lane to meet Rick. I rode through Oak Cliff and downtown with no problems whatsoever. AND I'm a small white girl by myself.
Surely you could ride by yourself, too. However, if you are too afraid, call me and I'll go with you.
I'm just going on the Channel 8 report where they had Dart police saying into the camera they were woefully undermanned and that violent crime on DART was way up. I'm a big guy, so I'm not scared. And no offense, but if I were Rick I wouldn't let you ride it by yourself after dark.
