Gravatar These are all good points. In fact, you are correct about most of your assessment. I would, however, like to point out a couple of redeeming qualities of the blower...

1. If you have 15 oak trees in your lawn (which I do) and a large pasture behind your lawn (which I do), then you can clear your yard of 100,000 leaves in less than an hour. I tried it once with a rake. After 10 bags and an eternity staring into the face of futility, I drove to Home Depot.

2. You can get the electric model so as to not pollute the air (I did). But you don't get to wear one of those backpacks...

3. My neighbor likes to cut his grass and discharge his clippings onto my driveway without cleaning them up. Guess what implement I like to use at 7:45 a.m. to put them back in his yard...

Gravatar Ok, I read this yesterday, giggled, and moved on. Well, this morning I was walking across campus (I am in hell at A&M) and the blower guy blows all the cut grass right at me. HELLO! I'm walking ON THE SIDEWALK here. I never cared one way or the other, but that did it for me. Of course, I also have to take into account that I am in Aggieland....
