I think the best you can do right now is just keep her as healthy as you can. Food, vitamins, etc. Eventually she's going to build up a little immunity to all of this. Just sucks to have to go through it all.

But you're right about the sick kid. For some, it's far easier to let someone else take care of your sick kid than doing it yourself! It's not the kid's fault--the parent(s) need to be beaten!
