And I once saw the Barenaked Ladies do a great rendition of it

Well, I suppose it's because I wouldn't ordinarily feel ashamed to admit to liking the Sweet. They did a lot of great trashy-glam songs in the 70s.

But that's a problem with making lists like this...I can usually justify liking what I like somehow!

I seem to remember RTE radio playing Mr. Roboto every 20 minutes or so, way back when. For a long time Irish DJ's thought the chorus went "Don't know where he got to, Mr. Roboto". They were different times...
