I'm from Nebraska -- will you be at Cabela's in Sidney or Kearney? both are small communities compared to other states, but decent sized for Nebraska. Granted, I'm biased, but Nebraska is a wonderful place to live.
we are actually very technologically advanced in many ways -- when you are primarily rural and isolated, you jump on top of every communications possibility that you can. I know that Kearney has broadband, and given that Cabela's is in Sidney, I would guess that they do too.

Hi, Jim! Thanks for responding!
They're discussing me for Sidney. So far, from what I've seen on the 'Net and from conversation with the department manager, it sounds like a nice place. A bit different from what I'm used to, for sure- we have lots of hills, knobs and trees here and I'm told that much of the area surrounding Sidney is pretty flat, with some hills, so that will take some adjustment. But I'm used to living in a rural area, no doubt about it, so that won't be a big problem.
I figure as long as they have broadband, decent cable, and a comic book shop nearby...I'll be OK. And a Wal-Mart, which I'm told is in the finishing stages.
Either way, I'll be glad when I get the word about when I can fly out there...I'm looking forward to the chance to look around a bit!

Oh, and liquor. Sidney's not dry, is it?
