I am almost positive that 99.9% percent of the problems you have with Chritianity are actually problems with Christians and what as people we have done to it. Please don't judge Christianity by the failings of men. No one is perfect and some truly horrible, despicable things have been done in the name of Jesus, and his church and teachings have been manipulated and twisted to match what men wanted, not always what he intended. The true teachings of Jesus when they are studied and seen in context and applied to your life are wondeful and do not promote hating others at all. they do not single out 1 sin as greater than another, and he never hated the sinner. I could go on and maybe when I see you next time I might , but in conclusion sean's WWJD comment was right on the money that is exactly the reason I never liked that campaign, Christ wasn't about empty symbols that held no real meaning. Alright enough for today. |

That's true, Mike. The actual teachings of Christianity, once you get through all the layers of this and that that have grown up around it over the years, are very wise. I don't think there's any denying that, and I don't try to. I guess if you want to get right down to it, it is the many, many interpretations of what I see as flawed records in the first place, just don't make much sense to me. |

I don't think we have but we should have. Once again I have failed. |

Nah. There are few things I hate to discuss more than religion, because my thoughts on the subject are half-formed and inconclusive. I haven't made up my mind about any of it, so how can I adequately discuss it with anyone? |

Those are the exact reasons you should discuss it. Most people think they have fully informed views on what the bible says but very few of them have actually studied or even read it once. At least you are honest about where you are coming from. |
