I don't think he's alive. Dave, Dick, and Bob Wood were brothers, and all of them wrote comics. Dave and Dick also wrote the "Sky Masters" strip that Jack Kirby and Wallace Wood drew (Wally wasn't related to the others).

Bob Wood was better known in the business, for writing "Crime Does Not Pay", and also for killing his girlfriend in a drunken rage.
