Wow, Doom Patrol! I like you even better just for pointing this out!
We saw the Constantine trailer before Troy this weekend, and the thing I found most interesting was the total lack of a DC logo anywhere in the trailer. I have no idea why they weren't pointing out it's another comic book movie, especially with the trailer coming between Spider-Man 2 and Catwoman. None of them look all that exciting to me, but Catwoman has a worse trailer than Constantine, which would have looked truly awful without that comparison.
So you're saying you didn't like me much before, huh!
Anyway, I was a devoted reader of Morrison's DP, and even kept on picking it up after he left. It was rocky for a good long while under Rachel Pollack, but I flat out loved the final story arc that dealt with Hebrew magic.
I was pretty impressed with the Spidey 2 trailer, but that Catwoman preview makes me want to pluck out my own eyeballs, Pei-Mei style.
I'm not saying I actually like you much now, just that you've moved up a few notches!
We have some Rachel Pollard issues, but I wasn't reading comics yet when all that came out, and being able to get the Morrison issues in trades is much easier than searching for backissues.
I don't even want to discuss the nonsensical Constantine trailer or the far, far worse Catwoman, which indeed calls for injury to the eye. Spider-Man 2 looks fine, just cheesy, which is to be expected. I may well see it, but it's not a top priority. The others, I think, are To Be Avoided, except for entertainment masochism purposes.
My guess would be that the "missing" pages are the teaser appearances for the Brotherhood of Dada that were left out of the first printing of Morrison's first Doom Patrol trade.
Hope not, 'cause I already have those from the singles!
