The Wolverine bit in Secret War annoyed me, too. Not because I'm a fan, but because it was so far-fetched, such a caricature, it was downright distracting.
And yes. That St. Christopher bit in Here There Be Monsters was oddly engrossing.

Yeah- it just struck me as kinda pointless, to have Wolvie show up all snockered. It might have been a little more tolerable if he had been pissed off about the mission, or anything...but it seemed out of character and kinda left-field. I'm not a regular X-reader, though, so it's entirely possible the hardcore might not find it unusual...
Eh, the hardcore wouldn't know good taste if it dated their mothers. Screw 'em.
