Vankin wrote the interesting-even-though-I-haven't-read-it-all-yet "Vertigo Pop: Tokyo" mini-series, and the I-read-it-all-and-liked-it "Vertigo Pop: Bangkok" mini-series.
So many hyphens...
He also did some work on the Paradox Press (I think) "Big Books." You know, like The Big Book of Conspiracies. I think conspiracies are his regular bag. Personally, I'm not interested in the Sandmannish Vertigo stuff; never liked Sandman in the first place. [insert shock and horror here]
Those covers, though, they are very nice. Giving James Jean a run for his money, fo' sho'.

Tara Mac rocks my world.
So that's what Vankin's done. Funny, the only Vertigo Pop I bought was the "London" mini, which he had nothing to do with!

If you can find those two for cheap, you should snatch 'em up.
"London" would have been great at twice the price. Phillip Bond's art makes me feel all funny inside. And Milligan was definitely firing on all cylindars, or whatever your car metaphor of choice is for "writing a kick-ass comicbook."
