You've summed up my feelings quite well. It wasn't a good movie, no, but I was at least entertained for 90 minutes or so. That puts it far, far ahead of most summer-blockbuster movies in my book.

Why not? Other movies have done it.
Ahh, the wonderous feeling you get from expecting a piece of shit movie.... Positive Hype always kills the movie a bit, and you could never get enough negative hype to lower your expectations.... Then when the movie is half decent it seems all the better...
