I haven't bought a Plas' since #9. From your comments I guess I'm probably glad that I haven't! BTW, are you still buying Legion?

Yep! I bought LSH #1 last week. Hard to tell after only one issue, but I liked it OK.

See, I *liked* the ending of Wanted (which of course was never as good as its proponents were saying it was, even very early on), because I was DREADING Millar making Wes into some sort of redeemed anti-hero, thus once again glibly ignoring the countless rapes the character was supposed to have perpetrated. Not that I'm giving Millar credit for having deeply examined the redeemability of serial rapists--just that at least this way we don't have to stomach the notion that, yeah, he may have banged a few broads, but he's not such a bad person. He IS a bad person, and I appreciate that the ending reinforced this.

I think it was more the general tone of how Millar wrapped it up that pissed me off. But when he gets all cynical on us in Ulitimates, I don't mind it so much. Go figure. I wish he didn't feel the need to call out the very people who buy his books and help him earn his paycheck. "Invalidates" is a strong word, and I'm leaning towards backing off from that, but I hate to change these reviews so much after I've posted 'em...
That being said, I was happy, like you, that Wes didn't turn from "the dark side" and reform- that would have been really annoying.

Would've helped if it wasn't so poorly written.
