Thanks for the SoF synopses! The Seven Soldiers project has me interested in a bunch of Golden and Silver Age characters I never thought I'd give a second glance.
Also, I had no idea Black Orchid was ever the backup feature for Phantom Stranger. I love her stories in Adventure comics - I'll have to track down the Phantom Stranger issues she appeared in.

Actually, Black Orchid appeared in several issues of Phantom Stranger towards the end of its run, after being booted out of Adventure by the Spectre. Some of these featured some great art by Nestor Redondo, unless I'm mistaken.
I'm beginning to wish I hadn't let my run of Phantom Stranger go back in 1987. I've re-bought several issues, but I'd sure like to see some of these again!
Oddly enough, just last week I won the other couple of issues of the "Spawn of Frankenstein" series drawn by Kaluta (from The Phantom Stranger) that I lacked in an auction. His artwork on that series always did impress me, as well as the other myriad covers he was doing for DC at that time.
I thought his Shadow stuff, from roughly the same time, was a lot better...but he did pull off some nice scenes and I'd love to see these collected and recolored.
