Interesting point about the farewell scene. I've been scanning in all the farewells in the issues I've indexed so far as part of a future project Mag and I are planning to create a page of just the "friendly farewell" images. B&B 80 is the first without a friendly farewell.

One of the things that's killing me while I index my Brave & Bolds is the missed issues. The devilish H on my left shoulder says "go out and buy all the back issues". The angelic, more rational H, says "don't be an idiot - you already have a monstrous pile of comics to index and blog about". The more I re-read these old Haneys, the more convinced I am that devilish H will win the argument.
