I've just started reading Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. After seeing that pic, I suspect it's now going to be "Jonathan Strange and Bilbo Baggins".
It's funny, though- I flashed on him in From Hell, where that picture came from, when I began the book- I think he'd be perfect. I don't associate him so much with Lord of the Rings, because he was part of such a large cast...
I don't know who Strange should be, though- perhaps Jude Law?

well if you could go back in time Jonathan Pryce as Mr. Dark from Something wicked this way comes is how I always picture Strange.
Yeah, maybe...but Pryce, even then, came across as more mature than I picture Strange as. He'd make a good Lord Pole, though...!

I'm 2/3rds through Jonathan Strange, and yes, that's perfect casting. Good work.

I'm not sure, but I'm somewhere in the mid-400's pagewise- Jonathan Segundus in the run-down house where he faints when he meets the two women there.
