JB...I believe the Ryan in question is Paul Ryan, also known for his less than stellar run on The Flash, and a solid, but unimpressive run on The Fantastic Four with Tom DeFalco.

I forgot to mention that he followed John Romita, Jr. as artist on Iron Man and there was an effort made to keep some consistency to the overall look of the book after JR left. You can see it in shellhead's face and body if you're looking for it. To be honest, Wiacek probably had something to do with that since he was Romita's inker as well.

Gravatar Oh, THAT Ryan! Anyway, the name rings a distant bell, and thanks for the info!

Gravatar You should just call off the hiatuses, since you obviously don't take them seriously! I jest.

As someone who came into the Marvels on the early '70s then worked backwards, I became fascinated about those essentially tryout books (Tales to Astonish, Tales of Suspense, etc.) and how, when both of the books "graduated" to full book status, one title (Captain America and the Hulk, as I vaguely recall) would keep the numbering, ut the other would start at #1. My examples may be off, but the premise is correct.
