I agree with you about Casanova. I am enjoying it, I buy it regularly, but it always ends up somewhere in the middle of my pile (I buy 20+ books a week) and no better, because of the reasons you list.

Thirded. I dropped Casanova after.. 3, 4 issues? It just seemed like Fraction doing that Fraction thing, where he sees whatever it is Joe Casey and Warren Ellis are doing, and does it 6 months later.

I thought so many times about dropping it, but I do like the basic concept and the art, although that bright blue of the last few issues is just fugly.

I'm beginning to think, though, that when/if it relaunches that I won't be getting it anymore. The enjoyment/irritation ratio is out of whack.
