The one aspect of the first Hellboy movie that I will admit to not enjoying was the whinning attitude of Liz Sherman. (In fact, I usually fast-foreward thru her scenes when I rewatch that film just because of that.)
She's still a little whiny, but mostly she just bickers with HB in that TV dramedy way. She also gets to flame on a couple of times and strike poses. That's about it!
I was pretty disappointed with this movie, on all fronts except the monsters! Thoughtful review.
Although - it's Guillermo Del Toro who directed the movie, not Robert Rodriguez.
