On becoming a saint; as I understand it, we are all called to be holy.
In the Imitation of Christ, Chapter 25, "Use all occasions for your spiritual gain."
I find putting myself in the "student position" helps me look to God for direction thereby on the right path.
As far as purgatory, I have only heard terrible things about it, for sure!!!!!!!!! avoid it!!!
