I saw the movie this afternoon. Highly enjoyable cinema, like its predecessor. But they've stripped all the importance out of the story.
It's a well-told tale with no remaining significance.

Well, Look what they did to LOTR! I only like the first movie and really have to force myself to watch the second and third movies. They "murdered" the characters of Faramir and Boromir in those movies. There was a reason why Tolkien developed these characters in the manner he did.
I'll have to see Prince Caspian but I've not heard too many positive reviews.

I probably will like Prince Caspian ok because I never could cotton to the books ... I tried and tried but just found them heavy handed.
Although I loved Lord of the Rings as the books, I also loved it as the movies. Especially the second movie which is my favorite as we see the king's redemption through Aaragorn's urging.
But to each his own ..
