Thanks for these reviews. I loved the Jake Tilson book (I knew him as a graphic designer back in the mid-90s). And the Last Chinese Cook sounds great, I'll add it to my wishlist. I'm currently reading Jay Rayner's The Man Who Ate The World, have you come across it? It's about him eating in expensive restaurants around the world, on a quest for great food...
