Speak up!

Gravatar I loved L'Engle's work. I first read Wrinkle in Time when I was 11, and I've not been the same since.

As a matter of fact, some friends and I are getting together in the park to read some of her works out loud, and remember her.

She was one of the influences that, in the worst time of my life, swung me over to the side of joy, and persuaded me to fight against despair.

I will miss her very much, but I believe I will see her in Heaven.

Gravatar I loved her work too. I've only begun reading her non-fiction in recent years but it's had a profound impact on my faith.

She was my favourite writer when I was a teenager. After learning of her passing, I brought my entire collection of her novels to school, to show my students. Some of the copies were so old that, despite careful handling by the students, the covers just fell off! :S

She was such an amazing influence on my life--and I don't mean just my reading life. L'Engle's insistence that all our actions and thoughts have meaning has become my own as well. It is my greatest debt to her.

Requiescat in pace.
