Reading the depiction of Greenham's detailed service was quick to remind me of how in the modern world we have burdened pastors with to many "CEO" activities hindering them from dedicating there time to the study and preaching of God's word as they tend their flocks.
I do recognize some pastors have brought the "CEO" model upon themselves as they have sought worldly models as a way to try to manufacture success in their ministry. One must wonder what the cost has been to their flocks.

Great book! I have read it in the last year. My interest in and desire to read the Puritans has increased significantly because of it. Thanks for pointing these truths out as a reminder.
