The object I would take would be my camera (I'm assuming family and frineds are in the necessary items section, hee hee.)
I go everywhere with my camera now. It's a blogging thing isn't it, but I'm so glad I've got into the habt as I capture so many more images of my girls than I would otherwise.

an imaginary journey.. oh why not, I could imagine that we're going to the beach for a 'babymoon' before the baby is born, so I would imagine I'd get a fabulous bikini that shows off my baby belly and wear it on the beach..

Since you said "object" i can't choose people, so i would have to go with COMPUTER! I could read, and interact with people and still have my digital photography. Oh, wait. That would require me to bring my camera too. Well, i'd have to sneak and take 2 things!

The one thing I would take? This is hard. I'd have to choose between my laptop, my camera, and my journal.
Okay, it would have to be one of my big journals, becuase that way I could write or draw everything, wouldn't have to worry about electricity or downloading my photos.
my mobile phone because it also has internet, camera, personal files everything on it and as it's imaginery I would never have to charge it up.
I would absolutely take my travel journal so I could record all the little stories that go along with the pictures that you all are taking on your cameras!
My daughter! She would have to accompany me, b/c I would be lonely and scared without her!

On an imaginary journey, I'd take an imaginary really hot guy. Who wears checkered speedos like the Croatian mens water polo team.
Don't tell my husband. He thinks I'd take an imaginary thermos of tea or coffee 'cause I'm addicted. In my imagination, I'm not.

Ooh, I posted Belgium Birds too. My first thought for the trip was my husband, because he's fun to travel with, but if people don't count, then I like the answer that others have listed - my camera.

My hand bag and everything that I could possibly fit in there. That seems to work out well for me on real trips.
I love your slideshow!! I would have to take my family, and that is not cheating....although they are 3 people, they are only one family unit....so that is one thing!!
