Gravatar Love the red windmills. Windmills are coming back in style; alternative energy and that sort of thing. But the one I saw in western Massachusetts wasn't nearly as pretty as yours.

Gravatar How great is that! I love all these photos of the windmill with ruby highlights!!

Gravatar How would shooting the windmill prevent it from being relocated? And why was the constable trying to prevent it from being relocated? Was it being kidnapped against its will? I need a bit more of this story!

Gravatar I didn't know that about windmills

Gravatar What a nice looking windmill. Your own 'moulin rouge' in Belgium. Happy Ruby Tuesday.

Gravatar Yay! Thank you for answering me!

Gravatar I love the treasures you find and share!

Gravatar I love windmills. And now I know where they really come from. Ha! Happy Ruby Tuesday, jientje!

Gravatar wow! that childhood memory must have been a wonderful feeling!!

every single angle of the windmill is interesting and beautiful.

your 'weekly winners' post is a feast for the eyes. I love the photo that isn't a painting

Gravatar What a BEAUTIFUL windmill -- and what a FABULOUS story! And what an amazing TWIST to the fabulous story! HOW FUN!!!

I'm wondering if you have any DRAGONS to share with me... We are in the midst of a Dragon Hunt this week! Come see me!

Gravatar Great images! I so love the angle on the blade pics - awesome.
Nice job on the research too.

Gravatar What a story! How wonderful to remember that mill as a child. It's a very pretty mill now, too.

Gravatar I love those pictures. Windmills are great subjects.

Gravatar Now that is a great story Jientje.. Thanks to Quilly and thanks to you..

cheers kim

Gravatar You have been reunited to your windmill! Wonderful! There are no windmills around here but there are some Doukhobor caves we want to go and see. When they moved out to Saskatchewan in the pioneer years they made caves in the riverbank to live in that first winter they were here. They bake fantastic bread. Ahem...the Doukhobors bake the bread that is and in ovens, not in caves. Yeash...I sure am off topic!
