Double Extra Point
So what do you think the line looks like next year? Slauson was a solid player this year--honorable mention all conference, correct? I wonder if we wouldn't be better off moving Nicks inside. Either way, it seems like we should have a top 10 line next year--i mean we have a ton of experience and most of these guys were pretty highly touted. I agree on thenarse--i have wondered the last 5 games why he hasn't taken snaps at safety.
I say move Brandenburg to inside LB. Dillard and McKeon are solid in the middle as are Ruud and Octavian outside. Who else do we have at ILB? Also move Grixby to tee duty on kickoffs.
I like Slauson moving inside, but it must mean we are happy with Murtha/Patrick on the left side. I'm not sure about that.
If Dillard returns to form I think we could see McKeon move to OLB. I believe it might have been in the works before Dillard went down. McKeon has been great, but struggled at times to shed blocks and fill his gap.
Depending on how well our DTs occupy the OL next year we will need Dillard to stay at MLB and move McKeon to WILL. I think our DTs will be big enough but how good they are remains to be seen.
It really depends on how we close out this recruiting cycle. From what I hear we had a few "silent" commits from the JUCO DTs that visited last weekend, but that's just a rumor. I'm very suprised we haven't gotten a big name DT yet. That's my biggest need for the team.
