He's almost enough to make me interested in the National League....

I finally looked at those comparative stats you linked to. They're interesting in many ways, but perhaps nothing is more interesting about them then the respective strikeout figures. In a roughly comparable number of at-bats, A-Rod has struck out almost twice as often, and yet Pujols has the higher slugging percentage, which often comes at the expense of a lot of strikeouts.
My money's definitely on Pujols now (figuratively speaking, of course).

My father, who was never an A-Rod fan, not even when he was playing for Texas, often said that he thought A-Rod was overrated. His argument? A-Rod's strikeout's.
Now my father's all-time favorite player is Stan Musial. And here are his numbers:
Games --3,026
At Bats -- 10,972
Strikeouts -- 696.
If my math is correct, Stan the Man struck out every 4.3 games and every 15.8 at-bats. That's incredible!
Yeah, A-Rod has more home runs than Stan Musial (475), but when it comes to being an all-around GREAT hitter, Stan the Man is it.
So here's my question. Is there any hitter who's numbers compare to Stan Musial's?
