Nice butchering skillz, Roth. I wish the tap video was better - I mean as far as viewabilty. I can only see it frame by frame, rather than real time. Must be too taplicious to come to my screen fast enough!

That's disgusting! Ew! I'm not a vegetarian, but I hate raw chicken and avoid it at all costs. When I was a kid, my Mom and her friend made me and the friend's daughter cut up whole chickens so that we'd "know how" and I guess be "good wives" some day. Thank goodness for boneless, skinless chicken breasts!

Jodi: Yes, gross, but SO much cheaper to buy a whole chicken than parts. And much tastier, too, when roasted, and the skin gets all crispy. Mmm.

HAHA that was AWESOME. It looks a lot grosser to watch someone do it than to just pick up the packages at the store.

I'm a little disappointed with Hell's Kitchen this season. I'm just not seeing any real talent yet. Maybe Roth should go on the show

Nice job Roth! Request challenge: Cut up the next one in the "typical" 8-piece style, ie, no waste, ie, the back remains part of the breast and part of the thigh, ie, KFC 8-piece. Take a minute and a half for that!

P.S. btw...I do it the way you demonstrated as well and use the wing tips and back for broth.

Ok, my office mates are looking at me funny because that cracked me up. I'm laughing hysterically. I don't know why it strikes me as being so funny. Maybe because it looks like it's a really slippery sucker and he has a hard time holding on to it. Or maybe it's because I am laughing because I can't believe you actually did a reenactment of it and videoed it and timed it. Oh this is great!
Oy, yes it is so much cheaper than buying pieced chicken. Though, I don't cut mine up because the task is daunting to me and I'd probably butcher it. I usually just cook it in the crockpot and then piece it up from the bone. Yum!!!!

Remember how Hung on last season's _Top Chef_ nailed this challenge? Perhaps Roth should try out!

Is it wrong that I think it's kind of hot that Roth can do that? I'm married to the guy who thinks cooking is putting the burgers that I made onto the grill.
