She'll probably "forgive" you.
My parents' poor old cat, the one with all the health problems...she gets a couple of pills a day, plus a nasty liquid (lactulose) squirted down her throat...and every couple months she gets blood drawn (and toenails clipped). And while she hates the process and resists as much as possible, not to long afterward she's willing to let the person who did those things to her pet her, and she seems to deal with it OK.
Poor thing! I hope she heals quickly. I am glad to hear it was not something more serious. I have two cats and a dog and they are most definitely part of the family. I can not imagine something happening to any of them.
