I don't think you'll see the sort of doctrinal shifts that some conservatives are hoping for. Roberts and Alito seem to be more minimalist, shifting doctrines in a particular direction but not enough to constitute a wholesale radical change.
We saw this here, in the Wisconsin Right to Life case, and, perhaps to some extent, the partial birth abortion case. Scalia and Thomas advocated broader changes than what the majority ultimately settled on.
Even if Alito and Roberts do advocate broader doctrine shifts than what they've led on in the majority opinions, that only makes four votes. Kennedy is likely not as eager to embrace a more ambitious agenda.
Some interesting rulings for sure. Some I liked, others less so.
Yeah, make sure kids can only go to the school closest to them. Then all you have to do is reinstate racially restrictive covenants for housing and you'll have ensured your kids won't be forced to go to school with "their kind."
Of course, with the tremendous growth rate amongst the Hispanic population (legal AND illegal,) you may be singing a different tune in ten years. The child of your gardener may be your boss, and maybe he won't like hiring employees that can't speak his native language...

Some of the side benefits of this decision are the kids will spend less time on the bus, and parents won't have to drive across town for school events which (for all you libtards) will help keep this country green. And from one who enjoys SoCal traffic on a daily basis, I consider any time out of a motor vehicle as precious.

In all seriousness, diversity is coming regardless. Absent major eugenics programs, caucasians are being bred out. More and more of us minorities are getting advanced degrees, good jobs and political positions.
