This Is Not A Democracy, It's A Republic........

I couldn't really make out this blather and what exactly it was you were trying to say, but it was a republican who took offense to the lottery tree.
I don't see this as having anything to do with political correctness, or PCBS, as you say, but rather a politician taking offense to something he opposes and using his power to get rid of it.
FYI: It'd be helpful if you could post at least a link to the news stories you use for inspiration. Especially when you don't really explain the situation.
PCBS would be Rep. Terrill wanting all Christmas trees removed from the capital grounds because there is supposed to be some kind of separation between church and state.

Kids aren't allowed to have an imagination Jenn. They are to be led, not lead. Geez, I would've thought that you would know that by now!!!! **snicker**
And Will, too many people out there are ultra sensitive these days. Get with the program! EVERYTHING is offensive and we are all supposed to cater to EVERYONE'S sensitivity! It's ridiculous if you ask me. And who cares if its a Republican or a Democrat, the point is is that kids are just not allowed to be kids anymore. They are forced to cater to the stupid senseless emotional needs of these so called adults.

The reason that guy pointed out that it was a Republican is that he's so used to thinking we always support our party. Get a clue there dude, Republicanism is based on doing what's right, dispite what the party might say, unlike the bandwagon liberals like Dean and Kerry.
