Tookie Williams' defense in this, is that he won a Nobel Peace Prize, for his literature discussing how gangbanging is wrong. Gee, I wonder if he would have so graciously and peacefully done this had he not been caught?
The Nobel Peace Prize has become meaningless. Yassiar Arafat, a terrorist, won one of them. It's a joke. I say, fry Tookie!
The media makes zero mention of the victim's families. Poor little Tookie. Boo-hoo! (sob, sigh)
I think I'll go and murder a bunch of people, then write a book about how wrong it was, so I can win a Nobel Peace Prize of my own.

I know what you meant in the previous post; I was just saying that he admitted that gang-banging was not a good lifestyle and tried to teach peace, etc..... Of course he'd never admit to the murders he committed and the thousands of other senseless killings he ordered.
I don't get "gangs". I undertsnad the need some feel to "belong', but WTF. To belong, you shoot someone, just because they are on your "turf"? San Diego has it's share, and the only way to get rid of them is for the parents to start parenting.

In other news, just to correct Brent, Tookie never won a Nobel Prize. He was NOMINATED for multiple prizes. But here's the thing: any citizen living in any of the nobel member countries can nominate anyone else at any time they want. I could nominate Jenn tomorrow.

That's not exactly something to brag about though, hehe.
Our liberal buddies in the mainstream press fail to mention that little factoid. St. Tookie, is a hero. He has ended the gangbanging in California, and is comparable to, in Rev Jesse Jackson's words "Nelson Mandela".
