THe RNC has not been a party of ideas since Lee Atwater. Back then, not only was Lee the brains of the Reagan Revolution, he was the muscle behind the idea. Newt did a fine job in the 90s, then he got neutered(sp) by his own party. Since then, from Bush I, the right has suffered from the 'go along to get along' that has cost our party greatly, not in elections since the left can't win anywhere, but in ideology. Seriously, would the right of the 80s spend money like the drunken sailors of the House today - now RR did spend a lot on gvt goodies, but nothing compared to the profligate spending over the last four years. You know its bad when Democrats say the House is spending too much.

We need another Atwater, Newt, Sununu, Kemp now! 08 is around the corner and I don't see anyone who has the ability or stature of those from the R Revoltuion.

Glad to hear some righties are aware of the damge the current Bush is doing to our country....If we could only find a way to combine the Libertarians and the Greens to create a party that not only protects us from terrorism, but also protects our civil liberites.....You wanna support our current spending patterns? Well, than LEGALIZE MARIJUANA!!!!
We could pay for all the military spending Halliburton wants!!!!
