This Is Not A Democracy, It's A Republic........

Your response was way too long....Better one would have went:
"Dude, I don't want to hear about Rednecks from a guy living in a degenerate country with 14 as the age of consent."
Which is worse? Redneck Culture or Culture of Rape?
Give me the 'necks' any day.

Hell, the governor of my state and his wife lived in a double-wide trailer on the Governor's Mansion front lawn while they were remodeling it.
And, by the way, Gov. Mike Huckabee is an extreme right wing religious ex-reverend nut, who is also among the leading Repub presidential candidates in 2008. God help us.

I am having a hard time with whom I think should run in 2008. Sometimes I think a McCaine/Guiliani ticket... then I stop myself.
2 more years.... Gee can't Bush just change the laws so he can run again....

I try to like McCain, but I can't get over how much of a bitch he turned out to be by kissing Bush's ass during the latest election after what Rove & Co. did to him in 2000.
I know, I know - it's politics. But still, be a man.
And Giuliani, I wish the Repubs would run him, but they'll never do that. Way too many flaws and skeletons.

But, the flaws are out, and McCaine is well liked by the moderates.
No way could they run another biblical righty and win. We need a real moderate and a fiscal conservative. Big time.

Most Rednecks USE to vote Democrat, that is, until the whole "civil rights" movement. They didn't like how those upity dems were helping them negras out, so they started voting republican, because that the party that opposed civil rights.
Soooo...yeah.

I am a from the south. We, (rednecks), vote for REPUBLICANS and not Democrats as a majority. It's a combination of several reasons. Of course, "gun rights" would be up at the top some where. But we also vote Republican because we are traditionalist. It was AL GORE SR, who voted AGAINST CIVIL RIGHTS..... a Democrat and not us.
As far as racial prejudiced goes.... I can tell you that for a fact I never saw REAL RACISM until I visited and lived in some Metro areas, IE, Phoenix, L.A., Detroit, etc. Then I saw real racism. Here in the TN Valley, we go to school together, work together, often go to church together, we say hello at the grocery store, we talk to each other. The south has a very long way to go to catch up to other places where the REAL RACISM now exists.
But to say that red necks vote for liberals is hog wash. Think of the South and look at the red and blue map.

Republicans are the party of the poor, and uneducated. The wealthiest cities and states vote blue while the poorest and least educated vote red. They do it over and over again and get nothing in return. I can't figure it out.

As a native Texan, a political science major, and someone who works the election polls, I can tell you that for the most part people who vote Republican are the country, pickup truck types, I don't like the use the term redneck because it may be disparaging. Others who overwhelmingly vote Republican are elderly, religious, stay at home moms, wealthy, and law enforcement. Democrats tend to be young, college educated, middle class, and minorities. That is my observation, it is 99% dead on. We can sit at the polls and guess what party the person belongs to before they walk up and we are usually right.

Really?
Then why does the left claim the Republican party is the party of the rich oil barons; for the rich, by the rich?
You can't have it both ways.
I too have worked polls. And have found over the years that you can NEVER jungle a book by it's cover.
I find living in a neighborhood that makes the richest hoods in Texas look like ghetto's that we have a fine mix. Maybe I am exaggerating a bit. Or not.
People who judge by what car a person drives or how many teeth a person has or how they are dressed or even by age, are clueless and have no realistic understanding of the people of this country
