Yes, Jenn. The trouble is, I couldn't read Obama's letter. At least not from your post.

I understand that McCain fears that Democrats merely want to use congressional corruption as a political bludgeoning tool in this election season, and he's angry at Obama because he perceives him to be a part of that (despicable) effort.

Democrats want legislation and results not committee stall tactics. With '08 prospects in mind, McCain wants to be seen as going along with Frist (stalling) while also securing his "maverick" reputation among independents by calling out for bipartisan change and reform.

His over-used recipe has lost all savor. He's gotta win more Republican hearts than centrist Dems. This makes him all the more transparent. His persona as "renegade" is a total charade.

I know, why am I not just focusing on my poetic talents?

Pretty nice to see someone like McCain offer such unvarnished views.

Not that I will support him in 2008 for President. But that doesn't mean I cannot agree with him when he is right.
