At the Coretta Scott King Funeral, did anyone notice Bill Clinton’s giddiness when he tiptoed around the fact that his wife will be running for president? He was about to say; “I’m honored to be here with past presidents, the current president, and our future president, my wife Hilary.” But before he could finish, Hilary shot him a look, as if to say, “Honey, we can’t mention that yet, I’m still in the process of misleading the people of New York State into believing I will serve a full term if re-elected to the senate.” Even though he didn’t explicitly say so, Bill Clinton was shamelessly using the funeral to announce the candidacy of Hilary for president. Yet another painfully inappropriate moment which occurred during the supposed “tribute” of a deceased woman. Hilary Clinton is so disingenuous it turns my stomach and Bill seems to be getting a little senile or something. Normally he would be deft enough to keep up whatever the Clinton political pretense du jour would be.

This is the umpteenth time I’ve seen lefties like you accusing conservatives of being “wing nuts” or something along those lines. Let me guess, you’re just and independent voter who despises President Bush and Conservatives. Just admit it, you are a liberal. Why are liberals so afraid of being categorized lately? Almost every lefty I debate seems to not want to be labeled as a liberal or a Democrat, yet the attacks they launch betray their agenda. Most of us on the right don’t mind, nearly as much as you folk seem to, being labeled as a neo-con, a “Bushie”, a “rightie” or whatever other label you care to throw at us. I know it annoys left leaning individuals to be labeled at all, but conservatives don’t mind because…guess why. We are proud of our conservative principles. We don’t seek to run away from being labeled at every opportunity because we are proud to stand for the principles that are espoused by conservatives. I implore you and your brethren to embrace the descriptions that you earn rather than cowardly running away from being categorized. Really, it doesn’t speak well of liberalism that so many lefties have such an aversion to being labeled as such. These days, one is hard pressed to find anyone in the blogosphere that actually considers him or herself a liberal and will admit it. The term liberal has even become a pejorative term at this point. Some enterprising liberals are recasting themselves as “progressives”. If liberals were as proud to be called liberals as conservatives are to be called conservatives then left leaning individuals would be able to cease changing the goal posts by renaming themselves or worse, obfuscating the whole issue by just flat out denying that they fit into any category at all (which is so painfully common at this point). So please… lefties, grow a backbone and describe yourselves proudly as the liberals that you are.
You know, Jaz, that's true....They all say they aren't affiliated with any party, or they are Green party.... but the only party they slam is the Right. Hypocrits.
