Problem is, they DID drop a grenade down the hole.

MSNBC says "One of the [soldiers] 'accidently' dropped a live hand grenade in the hole. [Hussein] then proceded to shove the grenade in his ass which absorbed the explosion and shrapnel, only making him stronger Terminator 2 style."
